Weight Loss Tips and Ideas for Healthy Body


Weight Loss, in the context of medicine, health or physical fitness, is a reduction of the total body mass, due to a mean loss of fluid, body fat or adipose tissue and/or lean mass, namely bone mineral deposits, muscle, tendon and other connective tissue. It can occur unintentionally due to an underlying disease or can arise from a conscious effort to improve an actual or perceived overweight or obese state.

There are two kinds of weight loss, intentional weight loss and unintentional weight loss. Sometimes an unintentional weight loss also occur due to many reasons. Some of these reasons can be many diseases and conditions such as cancer and variety of other diseases. Intentional weight loss refers to the loss of total body mass in an effort to improve fitness and health, and to change appearance.

There are many techniques for the weight loss. Under the therapeutic weight loss techniques, it lays emphasis on the adjustments made to eating patterns and increased physical activity, generally in the form of exercise. For instance, you want to train your legs and butt. A typical Leg Press machine would just have you working in the Forward and Back direction. There are many different Squat directions:

  • Basic Squat – Feet shoulder width apart and sit back as if you were going to sit on a bench and then use your legs and butt to come back up to a standing position. (Forward and Back)
  • Side Squat – Perform the same squatting movement but now step out to the side, alternating left and right, with each squat. (Side to Side)
  • Sumo Walk Squat – Go down into a squat position and walk forward and back like a sumo wrestler would.
  • A crash dieting refers to willful nutritional restriction (except water) for more than 12 hours. The desired result is to have the body burn fat for energy with the goal of losing a significant amount of weight in a short time. Hence , one should always measure the portions of "regular" foods and should always strive to have a healthy body.
